What’s in a name you ask? Quite a bit if it’s Spread Love Bobby. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Jamaican parents, Bobby knew from childhood he had the gift of gab; having been told many times by teachers of his ability to talk. Realizing he could make a career from talking, Bobby first joined 105.9 WNWK and within three months had surpassed almost all the tri-state area Caribbean radio programs in

ratings. In early 1997 Bobby joined Irie Jam media and as the saying goes, the rest is history. An avid music lover, Bobby’s diversity is evident in his ability to play anything from disco to dance to house music.

Most memorable Iriejamboree moment: Every year when I stand on the stage in a corner and just take a moment to look at the crowd. The emotion and joy that I see on the thousands of faces let me know im doing something good. Also the after show celebration when the crew is done we sit and talk and pop bottles – you guys don’t see that part.
